River Truim in Spate

Jan 11, 2020

After a relatively dry winter to date the River Truim is in spate at last after the last few days rain.

At Crubenbeg we are fortunate to lie in the shadow of the mountains to the west, which means that we have significantly less rainfall than places such as Spean Bridge less than 1 hour drive to the west.  However, the headwaters of the River Truim lie in the mountains around Drumochter, which has its fair share of rain, which is funnelled into the narrow ravine below the cottages.
